Country singer Carrie Underwood to visit Toledo
In one of many big names to come to Toledo, Carrie Underwood recently announced her plans for a spring tour, which will include a visit to the brand new Lucas County Arena on April 24, 2010. The songstress will be on tour to promote her new album, Play On.
Underwood, who rose to fame after winning the fourth season of American Idol, told the press that she is looking forward to the tour, especially performing new songs specifically written to be performed live. “I am getting so excited about next year as we are currently working through all the big plans for the tour,” Underwood said. “I cannot wait to perform new music and see familiar faces across the U.S. and Canada!” The Lucas County Arena is becoming quite popular for big names, hosting the likes of Daughtry, the Harlem Globetrotters, Disney on Ice and Rascal Flatts. Their home team, the Toledo Walleye hosted a celebrity of their own over the weekend as Olympic hero and former Toledo Goaldigger Mike Eruzione visited the team and the fans on Saturday night.
