Simon Monjack is a British screenwriter, producer, director and composer. Monjack married actress Brittany Murphy in 2007. On December 20, 2009, TMZ reported that Murphy had died of a heart attack. There was no immediate confirmation from Murphy’s reps. TMZ stated that Murphy suffered cardiac arrest, and cited Los Angeles Fire Department officials as saying that a 911 call was placed from Monjack’s home around 8 a.m. The 32-year-old Murphy was reportedly rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California, where she was pronounced dead.http://www.tmz.com/2009/12/20/brittany-murphy-dies-cardiac-arrest/³
