The 35-7 Patriots secured their spot in the post season and locked up their seventh AFC East title in nine years.
Brady was phenomenal in the game, connecting on 23 of 26 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns. While the quarterback earned a rating of 149 in the game, the Patriots defense, who accounted for two interceptions and held the Jaguars scoreless through the first three quarters, gets big props for their performance as well.
The Patriots opening drive was less than successful, turning over the ball at the one-yard line on a fumble, but the team regrouped to score four touchdowns in the first half.
The first score came late in the first quarter with a short pass from Brady to Randy Moss. The touchdown was Brady’s 25th of the season, marking his fifth season with 25+ touchdown passes, tying New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees for the fifth most in NFL history.
