Hobson and Richards return to the Toledo, plus Walleye tuxedo jerseys are coming
After a stay in the American Hockey League with the Rockford IceHogs, Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced today that center Adam Hobson and goaltender Alec Richards had been reassigned back to the Toledo Walleye. Both will be on hand this weekend as Toledo hosts the Trenton Devils and Charlotte Checkers in a three-game home series.
During his time in Rockford, Hobson notched one goal and one assist over six games. His time in Toledo has been highly successful, especially when paired with linemates Evan Rankin and Maxime Tanguay, contributing 12 goals and 15 assists in 26 games on the season.
Netminder Alec Richards has also been key to Toledo’s success in their inaugural season, averaging a .903 save percentage and 3.11 goals against in 14 games. In the AHL, Richards has played in six contests, allowing a total of 16 goals and earning three wins.
While the Toledo Walleye roster may change before the game, one thing that is for sure is that the players will don tuxedo jerseys for their Saturday, January 23, 2010, game against the Elmira Jackals at the Lucas County Arena. In honor of prom night at the arena, the jerseys will be autographed and auctioned just after the game with proceeds going to help Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of Northwest Ohio.
